Trailing Suzy like a playful puppy in need of attention, Jimin kept sauntering behind her with his steps in pace with hers, almost instinctively close. Suzyโs feet came to a halt with a sudden twirl of her heels, and Jimin swiftly halted his steps with the tip of his toes, almost an inch away from plunging over his love interest.

His words stung your heart and you could feel your throat getting arid and heavy. Reluctantly, lifting your upper eyelids, your chocolaty eyes met his cocoa ones again. The words in your throat were stuck yet your eyes held so many emotions within. Was it a desire? Hope? Regret? Embarrassment or being lost? Blinking your eyes you gulped down a lump in your throat, "Hmm... No. I...I am not. I already had a word with you." You whispered, trying to ignore his gaze but failing miserably, "Really?" You raised one of your eyebrows before raising your feet off the couch followed by him, "There is nothing to talk about or a reason to ignore you, Mr. Kim." Taeyung scrunched his nose at you as you referred to him as 'Mr. Kim'. Letting out a sigh, he pocketed his hands inside his pants before you watched him taking a few steps towards you while you were fixated on your position, "Don't call me that." He declared, making your eyebrows crumple, "What do you mean? You are my client and I am your wedding planner. I am calling you just like I call my other clients-" Taehyung interrupted as he ate up the space between you with his long strides. "No, we aren't." He announced as your frown deepened, "Oh really, then what are we? Partners? Friends? Couples? Lovers? We are both each other's Exes." You declared, trying to keep your voice lower as he towered over your physique yet his globes didn't twitch even for a second, "But we were. We were partners, friends, couples, and lovers and yes we still are each other's something."
โTaehyungโฆโ I whispered out his name, more like a plea, before I continued lying, โBelieve me or not. I am doing all this for money. Like you do.โ He let out a scoff, taking another step towards me as I felt the tips of his shoes touching the tips of my heels. He wasnโt buying my lie, and his face told it all. โBut I don't drive recklessly, and you want money, right? Just give me numbers, be it ten digits or twelve.โ I raised one of my brows at him before crumpling them as I stared at him, which he mirrored. โIf I want money, Iโll earn it myself,โ I announced as I watched him poking his inner cheek with the tip of his tongue. We shared a long, fiery glare before he spoke up. โOkay. I challenge you to a race. Just you and me. If I win, you will do what I want.โ My stare deepened, and after a long stretch of looking at him, scrutinising his words and eyes, I finally spoke. โWhat do I get if I win?โ He parted his lips, his iris wiggling from my eyes to my lips. โWhatever you wish.โ
I gazed at Jiminโs orbs which were scrutinizing my movements, โWhat are you doing, Y/N?โ I heard his deep voice as he took some steps toward my physique while I sat on the parapet boundary, โTell me you were the one, right?โ I asked with my wobbly voice as the cold air hit my visage making my tresses flow along with them. I let out an uneven suspire, holding onto the parapets with my quivering hands while goosebumps arose all over my body. โStep down right away.โ He declared but I just held the parapets stiffly, โNo. Tell me the truth.โ I spat but only got silence as an answer as I loosened the grip leisurely with my shivering hands and let my body plunge backward taking a last glance at Jimin while I heard him calling my name. Sensing the cold air hitting my back, I gazed up at him as he let out a sigh watching me with his tensed eyes and I clenched my eyes shut letting out a breath, I know, you will save me. You were the one that night and today also you would be the one.
โA dinner date. Just you and me.โ I blinked at him, puzzled. Is he joking? No, he isnโt. His eyes told me that he wasnโt in any mood for joking. He was serious. My inner thought blabbered in my brain, but the cat caught my tongue. โIโฆI donโt know. How can you ask it so casually? I meanโ We arenโt even something. I am just your juniorโโ He waggled his index finger and shook his head, making me bite my tongue. โNo. Thatโs where you are wrong. You are more special than you think you are to me.โ My breath hitched at his confession, and I couldnโt control the warmth approaching my cheek. โI know that was sudden, you can take your time.โ He declared, and I gulped down nervously. The words were stuck in my throat, and I donโt know how to answer this question. This is the first time someone has asked me out, and I donโt know how to respond. All the other thoughts were blurred, and the chemistry equations were falling like an unsolved puzzle around my brain. He took a glance at his wrist watch and looked back at me with nothing but hope. Hope that I will answer him then and there, but nothing slipped past my mouth. โIโll be back.โ He declared and raised his feet off the chair, making a minimalistic sound against the marble floor. I watched him slide the chair under the table while looking at him, befuddled and puzzled. What am I supposed to do? I blinked and something in me shifted. I pushed myself up from the chair, the scrape of wood against the floor barely registering amidst my racing thoughts. He spun around, his attention captured before I even managed to call out his name. โTaehyung,โ I whispered, my voice soft, and I couldnโt help but notice the way his eyes lit up at the sound. He hummed softly in response, turning fully to face me. โIโll go with you, only if you win todayโs match.โ
โYou like her, donโt you?โ I was caught off guard when Jimin asked. Trying to escape the weight of his gaze, I shifted my gaze behind his shoulder after watching him bounce his eyebrows up and down with a lingering question and a knowing smirk tugging his lips. โDon't even try to deny it. Itโs written all over your face.โ He almost threatened. I stayed silent, pressing my lips together before the faint smile gave me away. โI knew it,โ Jimin declared, pointing at me like heโd just solved a mystery while the hallway noise buzzed around us, but he was locked on me. โBro, just tell her already!โ โNot yet,โ I muttered, looking in his eyes. โJust waiting for the right moment.โ Jimin huffed, throwing his arms in the air before dropping them with a smack against his thighs. โThere is no right moment, man! Youโre just stalling.โ
One heart, countless tales... โMy room or yours?โ He breathed out, pressing my back against the wall. Without wasting a second, I breathed out an answer as if I knew where we would enjoy our concert. โYours. It has a ceiling mirror.โ I muttered, his hand reaching the sleek cut of my dress as he slipped his fingers through it.
"Shut up! Shut. Up!" He threw his fist on the door after shouting each word while I stood there with my eyes closed, holding my chest as my heart was hammering and my throat was dry. I was feeling like throwing up while my stomach churned up almost instantly. "I didn't kill Mr. Lee! I didn't kill your father. Damn it!" He shouted at the top of his lungs as I opened my glistened eyes which met his ruddy ones while a lone tear escaped my left eye. I could feel the hot water gushing down my cheek to my jaw as my blurry vision got clear while I blinked. I watched him tracing my tear down my jaw with his cocoa orbs and then looking back in my orbs while his once glower eyes turned bathetic just in a jiff. Wiping off the moisture from my cheeks, I looked back into his eyes, "My father is not with me because of you. You were the reason for his death." I poked his chest with my index finger while I could feel claustrophobic around him. His aura was making it difficult for me to breathe in this dingy room. "You. Are. A. Murderer." I said with my heavy breathing while he glided near me, making my already uneven breath hitch as the back of my head hit the door, "You will regret saying this one day." I breathed out against his visage while he propped his other hand beside my head, caging me, "F*cking tell me why did you call me here?" I said, gazing back into his dark and magnificent orbs. His breath brushed my visage while I could smell his lavender cologne, prior he retreated away from me as I took in a long breath. Turning around again, facing his back at me, I heard him say, "Marry me."
