“Taehyung…” I whispered out his name, more like a plea, before I continued lying, “Believe me or not. I am doing all this for money. Like you do.” He let out a scoff, taking another step towards me as I felt the tips of his shoes touching the tips of my heels. He wasn’t buying my lie, and his face told it all. “But I don't drive recklessly, and you want money, right? Just give me numbers, be it ten digits or twelve.” I raised one of my brows at him before crumpling them as I stared at him, which he mirrored. “If I want money, I’ll earn it myself,” I announced as I watched him poking his inner cheek with the tip of his tongue. We shared a long, fiery glare before he spoke up. “Okay. I challenge you to a race. Just you and me. If I win, you will do what I want.” My stare deepened, and after a long stretch of looking at him, scrutinising his words and eyes, I finally spoke. “What do I get if I win?” He parted his lips, his iris wiggling from my eyes to my lips. “Whatever you wish.”
